“Get the most out of your life.
All it takes is a little brain training.
Unique Mindcare offers the most advanced
form of Neurofeedback in the Houston area.”
At Unique Mind Care our clinical team has spent years developing our “reset and retrain” model for all issues associated with the health of the brain. Our resetting begins with various types of non-invasive stimulation. We then design specific Neurofeedback protocols based on the results of our in house Brain Mapping process.
Over the years the term “Neurofeedback” has become very broad in its definition. Today it is important to know that not all Neurofeedback providers are created equal. UMC updates all of its technology on a regular basis. We provide 4 channel training and 19 channels LORETA training .The benefit to the client is the quality of the training provided by our Neurofeedback protocols. Additionally, the training at Unique Mind Care is more efficient and does not require as many sessions.
Neurotherapy is our innovative, drug free treatment using EEG Neurofeedback to create positive, lasting changes in adults and children. Neurofeedback therapy is a natural, non-invasive process designed to improve brain function and enhance brain health. It is a proven form of brain exercise that enables you to train and balance brain wave patterns. Neurofeedback will restore functional health in the brain which will enhance memory, concentration, focus and general mood stability. It also allows the brain to process information at a higher rate of coherence that will help patients cope with life struggles more effectively.
How does it work?
After we identify unhealthy electrical patterns in the brain called EEG with our brain map, we design a personalized protocol to train those EEG patterns to a healthy normal state. Our advanced computer technology and Neurofeedback amplifiers will provide brainwave “feedback” to you through video images and sound rewards. This “feedback” is based on live EEG data from your brain that is collected through sensors placed on the head. The feedback and rewards will train your brain to produce more or less of certain types of necessary healthy brainwaves – literally it is retraining the brain to think and function at a more efficient healthy level.
Neurofeedback is training the brain to self-regulate. Good self-regulation is necessary for optimal brain function. Optimal function will then support optimal brain behavior. This enhances the overall function of the central nervous system that will result in improvements in overall mental health, emotional management, focus and mood stability.
Neurofeedback therapy has now been studied for over 40 years, and many of its clinical applications have been identified for decades. It is also highly effective in treating alcoholism and drug abuse, anxiety, depression and PTSD.
